The story behind StudyPromptAI.

Hi — I'm John, and I built StudyPromptAI because I lived the problem it solves.

Back when I was a Computer Science student at Penn State, I was drowning in it: lecture recordings I never re-listened to, whiteboard photos buried in my camera roll, PDFs scattered across folders, and handwritten notes I could never find when I needed them. And when the lecture-hall wifi cut out — which was often — the tools I relied on cut out with it, right when I needed to capture something.

AI tools like NotebookLM, ChatGPT, and Claude were incredible for studying, but getting my material into them was slow and manual. After graduating, I built the tool I wish I'd had back then: one place to capture everything — even offline — and hand it off to AI, clean and organized. And because reviewing a whole semester of material on a phone screen is its own kind of pain, everything syncs to this web portal — so you can study it all on a full-size screen.

What StudyPromptAI stands for

Your stuff stays yours. Recordings, notes, photos, and documents live on your device and in your own Google Drive — never on our servers. We keep only the minimal metadata needed to make things work.

Any AI, your choice. Not locked to one platform — export cleanly to NotebookLM, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. We're the bridge, not a walled garden.

Capture anything, even offline. Audio with live on-device transcription (no internet needed), scanned documents, photos, notes you can draw on — and prior test questions. Every kind of study material in one organized, export-ready place.

Who's behind it

StudyPromptAI is built and operated by TechCom Systems LLC, founded by John Kushwarra — a Penn State Computer Science graduate who lived this problem as a student.

Where it's going

Study and AI are moving fast, and so are we. StudyPromptAI will keep growing — expanding what you can capture and how you can use it — as new technology and AI capabilities emerge. This is just the beginning.
